We are so exited to have GOTS!
Until now we had 100% organic certified products, and we were happy about it. Now moving into GOTS is a step beyond. You may wonder, what is GOTS? According to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) which is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, a textile product carrying the GOTS label grade ‘organic’ must contain a minimum of 95% certified organic fibers whereas a product with the label grade ‘made with organic’ must contain a minimum of 70% certified organic fibers. This includes ecological and social criteria backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. It is a great difference, as you may know regular cotton is responsible for so many terrible stories around the world. Buying GOTS products not only helps thousands of people, you also help your skin and your health. Who wants to have pesticide and herbicide residue on their skin? What about the social implication? Do you?
In a way buying organic and specially GOTS certified products you become a seed of happiness to yourself, your family and millions of people who depend on cotton to survive!
